You will be working with a hard-working and enthusiastic team who are part of a high performing Safer People Medical Services team. As a Medical Advisor - Registered Nurse you will act as a source of specialist information and advice in the pre-employment medical clearance process for Sworn staff. This will include providing primary care and occupational health nursing services to NZ Police. You will be a registered Senior Nurse with > 5 years experience within primary care, who will be based at the RNZPC. You will provide assessments, medical advice and ensure the fitness and well-being of our people, particularly our new recruits . The position is Wellington based, and the successful applicant must reside within District. Key Accountabilities: Ensures new police recruits who attend the RNZPC Health Clinic are provided with an excellent primary care and occupational health service and are assessed, treated, and referred on as appropriate . Strong communication skills and understanding of medical language as is relevant to pre-employment medical assessments during the recruiting process into police .
